I’m a longtime resident of Chestnut Hill, an historic and picturesque “suburb in the city” in Philadelphia’s Northwest. I’ve been around long enough to know a good deal about my neighborhood, but there’s a lot I probably don’t know. So, this blog is to satisfy your curiosity and my own. I write what interests me, and I hope it interests you.
To be clear, My Chestnut Hill Life isn’t a newspaper. It’s admittedly an incomplete picture–a personal blog, with no obligation except to present my own mostly positive, upbeat perspective. For a more complete presentation of the everyday issues that occupy our attention on the Hill, I recommend that you subscribe to the Chestnut Hill Local. It’s our neighborhood’s award-winning newspaper of record.
I don’t accept advertising. So, you won’t see annoying pop-ups. You won’t be directed to Amazon links. I do accept press passes to attend and cover events.
Chestnut Hill Insider earns no money. On the contrary, it costs me money.
I’m always looking for ideas, so feel free to go to the contact page to submit yours.
Welcome to my neighborhood.
